Apple removes malware-infected apps that sneaked onto the App Store

Apple has removed a collection of malicious apps from the App Store after a strain of malware, known as XcodeGhost, made its way past the company's usually-strict security and app review protocols.

The attackers behind the malware created a modified, counterfeit version of Apple's Xcode developer software and posted it online for developers to download and use. Some developers of legitimate apps mistakenly downloaded the malware-infected version of Xcode, which secretly embedded malicious code into the apps they were developing.

According to security firm Palo Alto Networks, XcodeGhost was able to prompt fake alert dialogs for phishing purposes; read and write data from the clipboard, which could be dangerous if the clipboard included a password copied from a password manager; and hijack the opening of URLs.
XcodeGhost is particularly dangerous because it managed to completely bypass Apple's iOS app review process. Some apps published to the App Store that included malicious code were popular Chinese messaging app WeChat, Angry Birds 2, and business card scanner CamCard, with over 300 apps suspected of being infected.

Apple has since removed all of the apps affected by XcodeGhost, and are working with their developers to ensure all future apps are created using a legitimate version of Xcode, which is already available for free from Apple's website.

How To Tweak Imei Number On Android phone

Are you tired of paying too much money for data bundles?
If your answer to that question is yes and you use an MTK Android device (Tecno, Infinix, wiko , Gionee injoo...etc) then today is your lucky day because I plan on teaching you a trick through which you can get unlimited amount of data by changing your Android imei if you are smart enough and my guess is "You are quite smart, right?"

With this trick you can kiss buying data plans goodbye, truth be told I haven't bought a single data plan for months now and I have never for once lacked Data(megabytes).
How? You may ask, By tweaking my imei!!

By tweaking, I mean changing my imei number. By changing your imei number you are able to enjoy Unlimited data opportunities.

Let me explain this process with an example.

In Nigeria, when you purchase an Infinix Hot Note you are entitled to 2015MB from Mtn, If you don't want to buy the device but you also want to enjoy the 2015mb, all you have to do is change the IMEI Number of your phone to that of an Infinix Hot Note and then you Send the assigned command and you will get the 2015MB.

Let me explain how this is possible;

IMEI means International Mobile-Station Equipment Identity.

Every mobile phone and modem have a unique 15-digit Imei Number, It's just like finger prints of a phone. No two phones have the same Imei Number, but phones of the same brand usually having the same starting sequence.

E.g - All Infinix hot note imei start with 358429063 that is what I call the identification number. So when you change your imei number to something like "3584290630360721" and send the command. When Mtn or any other telecom company which we plan to trick sees the identification number which is "358429063" they assume you use a hot not and you are given your data.

Now I believe you understand how Imei works, So let's head on to the process of changing your imei number

How To Change Imei Number

To do this we need to install two apps.

• Imei Analyser FREE DOWNLOAD
• MTK engineering mode FREE DOWNLOAD
First we start with the imei analyser.

The imei is a very delicate number so you can't just randomly generate numbers and tweak 'em you have to first analyse it.

This is how we do that;

Let me use the infinix hot note example again.

First we get the identifying number of the phone we want to change to.

"358429063" the first nine digits of an imei number are the legit numbers the rest can be tweaked but do not change the first nine digits.

After getting the first nine, you randomly add any 5 numbers.

So we have 14 digits now. "35842906312345" remaining one more number.

This last number is called the "check digit" so it cannot be randomly added.
If you do, you'll end up having a bogus imei number that doesn't work.

This is where the Imei Analyser comes to play.

Now open your Imei Analyser and input the 14 numbers we have gotten into the box provided. And click analyse.

It will analyze it and give you the complete imei number including the check digit.
After you've gotten the full imei, write it down, close imei Analyser and open MTK engineering mode.

After opening MTK engineering Mode
click on MTK Setting

Then, swipe your screen to the left to view more options.

Then select CDS Information

 Then select radio information.
Then select phone 1 if you want to change the imei for SIM1
or phone 2 for sim 2

press E on your keypad it will drop down some options, for sim 1 select AT+EGMR =1,7,""

For sim 2 AT+EGMR=1,10,""
After that put the new imei between the "" like this AT+EGMR=1,7,"358429063123457"

Then put a space in between AT and + so it appears like this AT +EGMR=1,7,"358429063123457"

then press send AT command.

A message should pop up saying "At command is mSent".

After that toggle your phones's airplane mode on then off or remove your battery and put it on back

Your imei should have changed *#06# to check.

Note :- I strongly advice you copy your phones original imei before changing

if you still have any issue concerning this Article pls drop a comments or make use of Instant CHAT for free IMEI TWEAKING.
Then select radio information.

Amazon's new tablet line-up includes a dirt cheap $50 model

Amazon has today unveiled four new Fire tablets as part of a refreshed line-up, all of which are designed to be budget yet solid options for quick, easy media consumption.
The Fire HD8 and Fire HD10 are the two larger, more premium models, featuring 8- and 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 displays respectively. Amazon hasn't provided the full spec sheets for either of these tablets just yet, but we do know both feature partly-metal bodies that are 7.7mm thick, and Gorilla Glass-protected displays capable of 400nits of brightness.
The HD8 and HD10 are powered by unspecified 1.5 GHz quad-core SoCs, and both support 802.1ac Wi-Fi and feature microSD card slots. The HD8 will go on sale for $150 with 8 GB of internal storage, while the HD10 will be $230 and come with 16 GB of storage.

Perhaps the most compelling tablet Amazon has announced today is simply called the 'Fire': a 7-inch 1024 x 600 tablet that will retail for just $50. The Fire isn't going to be a performance powerhouse, featuring just a 1.3 GHz quad-core SoC, 8 GB of internal storage and 1 GB of RAM, but it will be a very cheap way to browse the web and watch movies on the go. The wallet-friendly tablet also comes with a microSD slot so you can add up to 128 GB of additional storage.

The Fire is so cheap that Amazon has decided to sell the tablet in a six-pack (as well as individually), where you essentially buy five tablets and get a sixth one for free. Amazon claim you might want a tablet that lives exclusively in each room of your house, hence the ability to buy the Fire in packs of six, but it could end up being a great gift option instead.
The fourth and final tablet Amazon has announced is the $100 Fire Kids Edition, which is essentially the very same Fire tablet with a kid-friendly case, a two-year warranty that includes accidental damage, and a year's subscription to Amazon's FreeTime Unlimited service that gives you access to a wide variety of children's books.
If you're interested in any of these tablets, they're available for pre-order now, and will begin shipping on September 30th.

Apple wins patent case that could affect future Samsung devices

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit ruled on Thursday that Apple should have been awarded an injunction barring Samsung from selling products that infringe on the iPhone maker’s patents.

In May 2014, a lower court denied Apple an injunction against Samsung after a jury ordered the South Korean company to pay $120 million for violating patents for the iPhone’s slide-to-unlock, autocorrect and data detection features. The Washington-based appeals court reversed this decision in a 2-1 ruling. It said that Apple’s proposed injunction is narrow because it does not want to ban the devices from the marketplace and that the patented features can be removed without a product recall.
"Apple does not seek to enjoin the sale of lifesaving drugs, but to prevent Samsung from profiting from the unauthorized use of infringing features in its cellphones and tablets," the court said. The case was sent back to a federal district court in San Jose, California, to reconsider the injunction.
It does seem that Apple’s win may be largely symbolic; Samsung told the court it had ceased selling nearly all of the products that were originally at issue in the case such as the Galaxy S2 and Note 2.
It also said it could design around the features, meaning the ruling is unlikely to have much of an impact on Samsung’s business.
“We will pursue our rights to have the full Court of Appeals review today’s decision. We want to reassure our millions of loyal customers that all of our flagship smartphones, which are wanted and loved by American consumers, will remain for sale and available for customer service support in the US,” Samsung said in a statement.
Samsung had received the backing of some of Silicon Valley’s biggest players, including Facebook, Google, Dell and HP, in its patent infringements battle with Apple. The companies worry that the final outcome of the case could have far-reaching implications when it comes to patent violations in complex devices such as smartphones. It’s also thought that Apple could use an injunction on newer Samsung devices if they believe them to infringe on the patents at issue.
