This is not the latest info about netqin
antivirus but some people are not aware
of some features that has been added to
the antivirus. Many users upgrade it
and use it for scanning only. But when
you browse the antivirus, you'll come
across advanced features like: anti lost,
"if your phone has been stolen or lost,
you can still get it back.
system manager, "it helps to improve
the speed of your mobile phone" i.e
hanging.
! You can also backup
all your phone or sim contacts. Network
Firewall, "helps to protect your mobile
phone while browsing or calling.
<u>HOW TO SETUP NETQIN</u>
Download and install the antivirus here
Before you open it, go to your
message>settings>text message>message
centres> add a new centre. Put any
name e.g. 9jaCZ. centre number, type 3.
And activate it. To activate it, press back
after creating it, now move to MESSAGE
CENTRE IN USE, open the box and select
the one you create i.e. 9jaCZ.
Now go to the antivirus and click on
security review, [the 5 stars must be full
in green colour for full protection]
You'll see upgrade. Click it. And allow it
to use a network. If it shows you'll be
charged #50 from your service
provider, press yes. DO NOT PANIC,
YOUR BALANCE WILL STILL REMAIN
ACTIVE. [remember we've changed the
message centre. So it won't deliver the
message].
After loading, you will see upgrade
successful. Check the security review star
it'll move. But won't full because you've
not activate other features.
Now click on anti lost. Enter a new
password, and enter a report number[if
your simcard has been changed, the
antivirus will send a message to the
reporting number. Use your friend's
number or family] it'll ask you to upgrade
also, just press yes. Your account won't be
touched.
In the main menu, you'll see NETWORK
FIREWALL, activate it. Now scan your
mobile phone, and backup all your
contacts to server or memory card[SD].
YOU CAN ALSO STOP AUTORUN
APPLICATION.
E.g. WHATSAPP
To do this, just go to SYSTEM
MANAGER>>BOOT
ACCELERATION>>SCROLL TO THE
APPLICATION YOU WISH TO STOP AND
PRESS OPTION>> DISABLE IT. If you now
check security review, the stars will be
FULL.
